Frequently Asked Questions

Residential Fence

How do I schedule a free estimate for my residential fence?

Scheduling a free estimate with Lannis is fast and easy. Just click the Quote Request Form link or call (614) 237-7628.

How does the residential fence purchase process work?

Lannis provides an in-home consultation with an experienced salesperson to help you decide on the type of fence that works best for you. Once you have decided on the type of fence, just sign and return the contract to your salesperson. Next, a Lannis project manager will set up a pre-installation discussion. Your part is almost done, and our expert installers will begin installing your new fence after Lannis obtains all the required permits. An installation inspection by Lannis of your new fence will take place prior to final invoicing. Now it is time for you to enjoy your new Lannis fence!

What do I need to do prior to the installation of my residential fence?

A few simple steps need to be taken to ensure your fence installation goes smoothly. Make sure to clear the fence line of any branches, yard materials, or anything else that might obstruct your new fence. Also, inform your neighbors that a new Lannis fence will be installed. And lastly, check with your homeowner’s association or community for any guidelines or restrictions.

How are all of the construction aspects of my residential fence coordinated?

Lannis will coordinate all of the installation requirements for you. If the property pins are not apparent, Lannis can provide a property survey for you at a low cost. Lannis will also handle the entire permitting process if your community requires a fence permit. Safety is also a top priority at the installation and Lannis will call OUPS (Ohio Utility Protection Service) approximately one week prior to the installation.

Note on Irrigation: OUPS locates gas, cable, electric and phone utilities. Irrigation is not a locatable utility by OUPS. We ask the homeowner or business owner to flag all heads and lines. Lannis will use caution when digging near irrigation, but cannot be liable for damage.

Do I need to be home for my residential fence installation?

On the first day of installation, the experienced Lannis installation crew will briefly meet with the homeowner to run through the project specifics.

Does Lannis paint residential wood fences?

Lannis does not provide painting services. However, we do recommend a clear stain to protect and preserve the natural beauty of the cedar.

What qualifications do the installation crews have for residential fence installation?

Lannis has highly experienced crews that are all licensed, bonded and insured and have an average of 25+ years of commercial and residential fence installation experience. The installation crews truly are experts in their field and your fence is in very capable, experienced hands.

What type of residential fence product warranty do you offer?

Lannis offers a limited warranty on residential wood fences of 5 years on material and 1 year on workmanship. On residential chain link fence, we offer a limited warranty of 15 years on material.
